What is your favorite cure for constipation?
Answer:
prune juice
a laxative
Going poo when i gotta go poo!
exercise / situps then you never encounter it.
Eating a couple pears, and drinking substantial amounts of water and hot tea because it is a dieretic.

laxatives - they make you go to the toilet and do your thing
Prunes or Prune juice. Only need about 4 prunes or a small glass of juice. No more or you'll have the opposite problem! =P
a last solution for me is always a enema it always cleans you out. just as long as the pain of getting it up ther doesnt bother you!
Exlax or Metamucil

Sometimes if I am really constipated I will drink fruit juice.. eat more fruit. That usually helps me. Prunes are always good.. and now they have "dried plums" which are just prunes in disguise.. try those.

When a horse becomes constipated, we pump him full of mineral oil. Then we walk and walk until - well, um, boom!! Maybe mineral oil would work...
A nurse gave me this when I was in the hospital after giving birth and experiencing complications: 1 part ginger ale, 1 part prune juice, warmed but not hot. Sounds weird, but it really doesn't taste bad at all, and more importantly, it WORKS!

I have a few favorites. I like how you used the word "cure" because, most of the laxatives on the shelf are just temporary fixes.
DAILY DIET As far as a daily diet is concerned, more fruits, vegetables and whole grains are great, especially when combined with exercise, (if your lifestyle has few of these things, it could be the cause).
Sugar amazingly is VERY constipating. A day without sugar is a good day for cleaning out. A sugar day constipates me definitely.
The WATER cure
Drinking more water is REALLY good. If you DRINK very WARM water first thing in the morning after rising (as much as four cups) the water goes straight to the guts and you go to the bathroom fast and easy. It's so simple but amazing.
HERBS ETC Then there are things that are directly laxative like an herbal combination called PERFECT SEVEN, they sell in health-food stores. You take it in the morning on an empty stomach, you drink it fast because it gels up, and you take it for around a week. It is simply amazing stuff.
Another thing is DIATOMACEAUS EARTH. I have been taking it everyday for around a month now. It is incredible. I am taking it to get rid of parasites and its doing so much more. It acts like a magnet to metals like mercury, and poisons like PESTICIDES that get deeply rooted in the organs and guts. Plus it even sweeps out viruses. Sometimes I take that and combine it with Perfect Seven, so that the toxins that get loose, gather up and come out nicely. It is my hero of things that cure constipation. ( I used to go without toilet for days sometimes even 5 days, normally since I was 4. )
With that stuff don't be surprised if you go four times in one day! I guess it's MY favorite Then CAYENNE or crushed chili pepper in a spoon with a glass of water, always works fast and gets rid of toxic poisonous stuff. But that's only if you can handle the cramps, and the burning on the way out! I love that stuff too, but now with a baby I don't use it much.
PRUNE juice, prunes and plums are good, but the prune juice gives me a headache so I would consider it a temporary fix.
Raw green chilies eaten at the meal are a famous Bengali side dish that keep everything flowing everyday!
Castor oil is POWERFUL, but not something to take often..It just rips right through you.
As you can see I prefer anything natural. Exercise and water is really good.

4 tablespoons of Milk of Magnesia..
1tsp of castor oil mix with one glass of warm milk. and drink it in the night(before going to bed) ,or a hand ful of black raisins eat with milk.these r the best cure for constipation.
Licorice allsorts work very well,Some chicory fibre everyday is a good way to stay regular too.
