What is the diffrence between nervousness and anxiety? i always thought they were the same thing.?
Answer:
Anxiety:
1. Fear or apprehension or dread of impending danger and accompanied by restlessness, tension, tachycardia, and dyspnea unattached to a clearly identifiable stimulus.
2. In experimental psychology, a drive or motivational state learned from and thereafter associated with previously neutral cues.Nervousness: Acting unsteady, erratic, or irregular, uneasy nervous situation.
I think Anxiety is sporadic.Nervousness is constant
They are similar.. but nervousness can bring on anxiety.. here is what I understand it to be..
Nervousness is usually used to describe mental states that are very similar to anxiety, but with nervousness a person will show them on the outside such as.. such as nail biting, fidgeting, trilling their hair..Grinding their teeth.. etc. , and the causes of anxiety need to be examined for nervousness symptoms. Nervousness needs also to be distinguished from restlessness or hyperactivity. Nervousness usually has little to do with the physical nervous system.
Anxiety comes in many different forms ..panic disorder,
obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social phobia (or social anxiety disorder),
specific phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). This is more of a mental that causes physical reaction. Cold sweets, Vision can be affected, Shaking form the fear. Heavy or mild thought process that can cause the anxiety to happen.
Both need to be treated..Hope that helps..
don't kno maybe you should ask your doctor
anxiety is due to a chemical disorder
nervousness is due to a situation
