What is the outlook for a career in homeopathic medicine?
Answer:
here is my lay opinion. although i used homeopathy a couple of times with sucess I feel that other natural healing modalities would make more money. Let me tell you how people are.i sold home blended aromatherapy remedies for years and it was a mistake. I spent a zillion hours explaining something that is unfamiliar and esoteric (a smell can make you well). homeopathy is not that familiar and certainly is esoteric. a small group will understand but the masses will not come. an herbalist for example is better understood by people than a homeopath. just my opinion
Although homeopathic medicine, also known as Voodoo, doesn't pay nearly as well as being a conventional MD, you don't have to spend all that money on college and medical school.
Extremely lucrative. People are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Three books are:The Cost of Being Sick by Nickolas Webb
The Wellness Revolution by Paul Zane Pilzer
and The Tipping Point by, (I forgot but look up the title and you will find it).Nickolas Webb invents medical divices for pharmaceutical companies and writes for major news papers for advice on economy.Paul Pilzer was economic adviser for the white house for a number of 4 presidential campaigns and predicted the E commerce explosion. The Tipping Point is a best seller explaining the phenomenon by which an old practice or customary way of doing things in society is abandoned virtually over night by a massive and collective behavioral change in society. One example is homeopathic or wellness consciousness. So yes, anything involved in wellness (not to be confused with the sickness industry), message therapy, homeopathic, chiropractic, supplementation, nutrition etc... is the next TRILLION dollar industry. Not medications as doctoring isn't what it sued to be. They are forced to retire earlier due to law suits as the fourth leading cause of death are medical mistakes and properly prescribed drugs combined. Its an economic issue that is pushing doctors to jump aboard the homeopathic combined with their private practices. This is called "integrative medicine."
